Is the Islamabad high court right to ban the public celebration of Valentine's day?
The Islamabad High Court in Pakistan has banned public celebrations of Valentine's Day on the grounds that it is not part of Muslim culture.
The order prohibits all Valentine's Day festivities in public spaces and asks the media not to promote the day. Deemed as a western tradition, the ban left our listeners divided.
