Creating a lab on a chip
Rahim Esfandyarpour, a researcher from Stanford University in California, describes how a simple printer can be used to create a ‘clinical’ laboratory on a microchip. The device could enable cheap and effective medical diagnosis in poor and remote areas of the globe.
