Maidenhead: Tarpey the record breaker
Maidenhead United striker Dave Tarpey has broken the record for the most goals scored in a National League South season.
His 35 goals so far this season have now eclipsed Adam Birchall's record of 34, set whilst he was playing for Dover in the 2010-11 season.
Tarpey, though, didn't want to focus too much on the individual achievement.
"It's a great achievement personally for me...but the team is more important."
He also admitted that his celebration didn't quite go to plan when he bagged his second goal.
"I tried to do a knee slide in the mud, and fell flat on my face."
