Reading FC: Stam scratching his head after Preston loss
Royals boss Jaap Stam says that it was the small errors which cost his side at Deepdale.
Stam said that despite 'starting quite okay', he believes 'only the small things matter', and by getting them wrong, it cost Reading against Preston.
He also admitted he was happy to abandon his footballing philosophy if the situation demanded.
"It you can't play nice, or in a certain play you want to do it, then just launch that ball into the stands. You need to be decisive.
"It's not only scoring goals, but [stopping] giving opportunities away."
