Royals midfielder Joey van den Berg says Reading have no time for excuses any more.

Despite starting well in recent times, Joey van den Berg has said that the Royals need to turn that early dominance into wins.

"We know it's not good, and we're trying to work on it."

"We need to stop talking about it and act," he continued. "There is no time for excuses anymore, we need to act, stop talking about mistakes, but clearing them out."

Van den Berg also knows just how fragile Reading's position is in the Championship top six.

"We don't need that many bad results now, because then we drop out of the top six, and that is not what we want.

"We worked all season for this."
