Reading FC: Stam pleased with character in Wednesday win
The Royals have lost their last three games away from home, and manager Jaap Stam was happy with the character his side showed to get the win against Sheffield Wednesday.
"Normally if we play, you see us pressing very high up the pitch," he told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "If it's not possible, then sit back, the wingers dropping in a bit...sometimes as a winger you just need to defend, you just need to do your job.
"Everybody did their job today very well, they've been working very hard defensively."
He also had time to point out how crucial Ali Al-Habsi was for the side.
"He's been great for us, and not only today, but all season.
"If somebody's having a shot from close range then he can move his body in a certain way that means he can always block that ball."
