Boaty MacBoatface (09/04/2017)
Paul follows Boaty MacBoatface on its first Polar expedition.
It may look like a little yellow submarine, but Boaty MacBoatface is actually part of a multi million pound project in our Polar regions. 大象传媒 Look North Weatherman Paul Hudson discovers there are three Boatys, and one of them has just set out on a voyage through the Orkney Passage in the Southern Ocean. Paul finds out what Boaty is doing there and why. Plus how we might avoid another catastrophic heatwave like 2003 across Europe, and Rossby waves in the sun's atmosphere. Paul learns about 3D laser mapping on the Welsh coastline, and chats to 大象传媒 Weather Watcher Clare from Sheffield.
