Racing: Open day gives chance to get close to horses
Mark Smiley, organiser of the Lambourn Open Day, talks about planning behind the event.
30 yards will be open on the day, which gives the public the chance to get up close and personal with some of the best racehorses in the UK.
"We've got all the fun of the fair, and it's a great day out for the family," Smiley told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "We've got great fun, horse showjumping, terrier racing, and all sorts of excitement."
And he emphasised just how unique an experience the open day will be.
"You can go in and talk to the people who actually look after the horses, and see the horses, and some very famous horses too.
"The big Cheltenham winners this year are going to be there, and it's a day for everybody, even if you are not interested in racing."
