Top executives at Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse have agreed to take a 40% reduction in their bonus pay. The unusual decision by the board of the bank to slash their own bonuses followed a backlash over the bank's decision to pay $78 million to its top management - despite losing money in 2016.

This weekend millions will vote in a referendum that could trigger one of the biggest changes to how Turkey is governed. A 'yes' vote on Sunday would hand sweeping new political powers to the current President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
