Poet Barbara Jane Reyes was born in Manila in the Philippines and raised in the US. Her parents decided to speak English to her to 'keep things straight', but she says she developed a complicated relationship with language - which she's gone on to explore in her work. So what language does she think in when she remembers her childhood?
