In the Observer on Sunday, the paper's food critic Jay Rayner wrote a scathing review of a meal at Le Cinq in Paris.

He said the three Michelin-starred restaurant supplied "by far the worst restaurant experience I have endured in my 18 years in this job."

Food critic for Le Figaro, Alice Bosio, told Eddie Mair the review was "too excessive to be taken seriously".
