GB Rowing's Matt Tarrant says he is excited and nervous to get the trials underway.

Over the Easter weekend the senior and under-23 trials at Caversham's Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake took place to shape the squad for the coming season.

"There's always a lot of nerves coming into these trials," Tarrant told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "There's a lot of make or break here.

"You never know how it is going to go with a time trial."

And Tarrant said his role has developed in the squad with all the new faces.

"I'm feeling like one of the old guys now.

"Pretty much 80% of the team has now changed from Rio...the faces are constantly changing!"
