Barry Gardiner: “I’ll try not to run presidential style local council elections”
Shadow Minister Barry Gardiner has said it will be policy he talks about on the doorstep in the upcoming local elections – and criticised focus on “the personality of the leader”.
Speaking to Westminster Hour, Mr Gardiner said he will be “talking about those things that the Tories have got wrong” and Labour’s solutions, rather than “presidential style” campaigning.
