Sturgeon: 'PM wants to crush opposition'
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said the Conservative Party acted in its own interest when Theresa May announced that there will be a general election in June.
The first minister accused the prime minister of viewing the process as an "opportunity to crush all opposition" to Brexit and further austerity, given the disarray in the Labour Party.
