Rowing: Bennett noticing rising stars in GB ranks
Team GB silver medalist Karen Bennett reflects on the senior trials and the new talent.
After winning a historic silver medal in the women's eight out in Rio, British Rowing's Karen Bennett is excited by the current crop of rowers coming through at GB trials.
"There's lots of potential," she told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "It's really good that we've got a lot of girls around.
"They might not be fast now, but it's the start of the Olympiad, and who knows where we could be in 2020.
And Bennett said that this year is about getting a lot of race time under her belt.
"I'm really looking forward to it...looking ahead to Belgrade the first world cup, then after that the Europeans, then the second world cup, Henley Regatta and so on.
"There is a lot of racing this year compared to last year and the year before."
