Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mayoral Election 2017: Kevin Price

There's just over a week to go before people in Cambridgeshire elect their first ever, devolved mayor.

The new role comes with more local freedom to make decisions about apprenticeships, affordable housing and transport schemes, with power and money transferred from central government.

Seven candidates are vying for that role when the polls open on 4 May.

The Labour candidate is Kevin Price. He's a former college porter who grew up in Cambridge.

Our political reporter, Mousumi Bakshi, put him in the mayoral hot seat.

The full list of candidates:

* Paul Bullen - UKIP
* Rod Cantrill - Liberal Democrats
* Peter Dawe - Independent
* Stephen Goldspink - English Democrats
* Julie Howell - Green Party
* James Palmer - Conservative
* Kevin Price - Labour
