Battle for jewel of Scottish local government
While many political eyes are fixed on June's general election, there are still hundreds of council seats being contested in England, Scotland and Wales on Thursday.
In Scotland, The SNP hope to make further headway in places that have historically been Labour citadels and a resurgent Scottish Conservative Party also hopes to make further gains.
