PM reporter's sad farewell to old fiver
On Thursday we asked listeners for their ideas on what to do with our reporter Luke Walton's tatty old fiver. He had tried to give it away.
There were lots of suggestions from charitable donations, a retirement card for Prince Philip, a stress ball for Chris Mason, sending it to Brussels in complete payment of the UK's Brexit bill or buying 500 penny sweets...
In the end we went with listener John Goddard's suggestion of purchasing a picture frame to display the 拢5 note, so future generations would know that paper fivers once existed.
