Reading FC: Joey on the 'very slow' Fulham semi-final
Joey van den Berg admitted it felt like an age before the final whistle against Fuham.
After Kermorgant's 49th minute penalty against Fulham, Reading FC had to deal with a near constant attacking onslaught from the visitors to reach the final.
"Always games like this on the pitch go very slow," van den Berg told 大象传媒 South's Ben Moore. "The moment we scored the penalty it took a while before the final whistle came.
"We managed to pull it off and I am very proud of our achievement."
And van den Berg reserved special praise for the side's goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.
"Ali saved us brilliantly, especially in a few moments.
"It is difficult when a team plays full on attack like that, you have to be a bit lucky to play on the counter."
