Internet companies 'could be doing more' about extremist content
Former Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport John Whittingdale has told the Westminster Hour that companies such as Facebook need to do more to tackle extremist content aiming to radicalise people online.
Mr Whittingdale said that the companies need to "act much more swiftly" when content is flagged up, and added that he found there is "a sort of reluctance" among them to take responsibility for the content posted by users on their platforms.
