Election Free Zone: The first radio broadcast

Here is a clip of the first ever radio broadcast, made by Canadian-born radio telephony pioneer Reginald Fessenden on Christmas Eve 1906, when he beamed a "Christmas concert" to the crews of the ships of the United Fruit Company out in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
