Is internet connectivity improving in Africa?
One of the main tools to accelerate development in Africa is ICT (Information Communication Technology). But while Africa's web and technology sectors are booming, actual connectivity to the internet is not.
Cost is a factor, as is a general lack of reliable power supply.
Operating in the middle of this ICT development strategy is the satellite company Inmarsat.
The 大象传媒's Russell Padmore sat down with Rupert Pearce, chief executive of Inmarsat, and asked him what the company is doing to enhance internet connectivity on the continent.
