The Champions Trophy Group A match between Australia and New Zealand was abandoned due to rain to leave the points shared at Edgbaston.

On day two of the Champions Trophy Australia took on New Zealand in a repeat of the 2015 World Cup final, but rain was the winner at Edgbaston as continual showers eventually saw the match abandoned during the second innings.
