Both are born and bred ‘Hessle Roader’s’ - ex fishermen Derek & Wally are good friends that met volunteering as guides on the Arctic Corsair, a deep-sea sidewinder trawler museum on the river Hull.

Even though their careers took a different path, a shared seafaring heritage means they keep an eye out for each other, especially since Wally has recently suffered from several strokes.

Recorded in the Listening Project booth at the Street Life Museum Gardens in Hull, they reflect upon a life spent at sea.
