Tory 1922 Committee meeting 'brought forward 24 hours'
The Chairman of the 1922 Committee, Graham Brady, has confirmed that a meeting of the committee will take place on Monday afternoon, 24 hours earlier than originally planned.
Speaking to the Westminster Hour鈥檚 Carolyn Quinn, Mr Brady said that the meeting had been brought forward to give the Prime Minister an opportunity to discuss the proposed confidence and supply arrangement with the DUP with party colleagues, before any agreement is signed.
Mr Brady also said that he very much doubted that a leadership election would be called soon, saying that colleagues recognise that the public "might look askance at the Conservative Party suddenly engaging in yet another bout of internal politics."
