'Listen to what the voters have said'
Mark Harper: Government must "listen to what the voters have said"
Conservative MP and former Chief Whip Mark Harper has said that politicians need to "listen to what the voters have said". Admitting that the election result was "disappointing" and "wasn't what we hoped it would be", he added that "it was also very clear that the voters didn鈥檛 want Jeremy Corbyn as Prime Minister".
Mr Harper said the Government must now "get on with governing in the national interest, start those Brexit negotiations, get those underway, and listen to what the public wanted."
