‘Click farm’ raid in Thailand
Operation using 347,000 SIMs and 474 iPhones to generate fake ‘likes’ for Chinese products has been uncovered in Thailand. A raid on a modest rental home by police found the phones hooked up to a computer boosting the online profiles of web users in China by showering their pages with 'likes', amusing emojis and positive comments. The point being to boost popularity and potential advertising income.
