London Fire Brigade 'did not publish safety report'
Twelve people are known to have died in the fire which engulfed a tower block in West London during the night. More than 70 people are injured, 18 of them in a critical condition.
Peter Apps, from Inside Housing magazine, investigated a fire five months ago which had similarities to the Grenfell Tower block. They discovered that a London Fire Brigade report concluded that "flammable material" on the outside of the block was probably "the most likely cause of the fire". This report was never published.
Peter said he could not understand why the London Fire Brigade, after knowing what went wrong in previous fires, had not made the information public.
