Grace Bumbry: The making of a soprano
Grace Bumbry was sought after across Europe and the USA as a mezzo soprano for a number of years, but after experiencing problems with her voice she embarked on a whole new stage in her career - taking on soprano roles. Here she tells Sara Mohr-Pietsch how the transition came about.
