Survivor of 1973 Summerland fire disaster talks about the Grenfell tragedy
As people in west London, and across the country, still struggle to come to terms with the tragic events at Grenfell Tower, Ruth McQuillan-Wilson from Northern Ireland knows only too well the horror of being caught up in such a catastrophic fire. She and her family survived the 1973 Summerland disaster in the Isle of Man. Fifty people died when a huge indoor entertainment complex in Douglas went up in flames. She tells Good Morning Ulster how the Grenfell Tower tragedy triggered vivid memories of her own experience.
