Our narrow escape from a Portuguese wildfire
More than 1000 firefighters continue to battle wildfires in Portugal, which broke out last week. The Portuguese Prime Minister, Antonio Costa, has questioned why the emergency services did not close the road where most of the 64 victims of a massive forest fire died. British chef Joe Lancaster was catering for guests at a yoga retreat in central Portugal with his girlfriend when a wildfire broke out nearby.
