The Philippine House of Representatives has approved a bill making it compulsory to sing the national anthem "with fervour". Punishment for singing without sufficient vigor can include a fine of thousands of dollars.

Actress and singer Christine Allado is performing the anthem at the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn boxing fight in Brisbane on Sunday. She gives Tim Franks a brief lesson in belting out the anthem without bending the rules.
