60 years ago today - Paul McCartney recalls meeting John Lennon for the first time
On this day - 6th July - in 1957 - 60 years ago - John Lennon first met Paul McCartney.
It was at a Garden Fete at St Peter's Church in Woolton where John's skiffle band the Quarrymen were playing. Paul was 15, john just a few years older.
