Peggy Reynolds on Sappho
Peggy chooses the poetry of Sappho for Queer Icons, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio's celebration of LGBTQ culture. Sappho was a Greek poet from the island of Lesbos in 6th Century B.C., famous for her poems about love and women.
Peggy Reynolds is Professor of English at Queen Mary, University of London. Her books include The Sappho Companion.
