Calls for Labour deselections 'unnecessary' and 'a distraction'
"We are more unified than ever, and that's where our strength is"
Labour frontbench MP Tracy Brabin has said that calls for deselection of MPs within the party are "unnecessary" and "a distraction."
Speaking to The Westminster Hour, Ms Brabin added that she wondered if the media were "stirring this in order to deliver factionalism", and suggested that anyone in her party calling for deselections should "take the fight to the Tories; they are the enemy, not within."
