Organic Farming - What Does it Mean for Animals?
Food labelled 'organic' has been increasing in popularity with shoppers across the U.K, and in a week where Prince Charles has said that many farms have been reduced to 'little more than factories', people might think of organic farming as the best alternative. But is going organic really a viable option for the future of farming?
And with experts saying we'll need up to 220 million more hectares of cropland by 2030 just to meet food demand for the growing population, is organic farming and the extra space it requires a realistic use of land?
