Tony Kushner on Alison Bechdel's Fun Home
For Front Row's Queer Icons series, Tony Kushner champions Alison Bechdel's graphic novel Fun Home, which has been turned into a hit musical by Jeanine Tesori (music) and Lisa Kron (lyrics).
Fun Home is Alison Bechdel's autobiographical story of growing up in a 1970s funeral home, coming out and finding out she had more in common with her father than she ever knew...
Tony Kushner is the Pulitzer prize-winning playwright whose Angels in America at the National Theatre in London will be broadcast live to cinemas across the world on Thursday 20 July and Thursday 27 July.
The musical Fun Home will be receiving its UK premiere at the Young Vic in London in summer 2018.
