MTV Rocks was in Plymouth, and it鈥檚 the 30th anniversary of MTV Europe going to air, so Richard is going to remind you of the Channel which changed the way people consumed music.

MTV Rocks was in Plymouth last week, and this week it鈥檚 the 30th anniversary of MTV Europe going to air, so Richard Green is going to slip back in time to remind you of the Channel which changed the way people around the world consumed music鈥.

Richard will have the first song played on MTV Europe on August 1st 1987 , and then a run through of the tracks played on the opening day of MTV , six years earlier! There鈥檚 some surprising songs featured in 1981 from across both the 80鈥檚 and 70's decade, when the promotional video was king.

So did Video Kill the Radio Star? Is it all Radio Ga Ga?, or is it a case of 鈥渞adio 鈥 someone still loves you鈥.

If you want your MTV , then join Richard Green for the Retro Show. Should you wish to email Richard with your favourite 80s tune, then it's RG@大象传媒.CO.UK.
