Win Butler and Richard Reed Parry chat with 6 Music Breakfast's Matt Everitt
Arcade fire's new album 'Everything Now' is out later this month - their first since Reflektor. It was produced by Arcade Fire, Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk and Steve Mackey from Pulp with co-production by their longtime collaborator Markus Dravs - and recorded in New Orleans, Montreal and Paris.
The album sees the band playing with the idea of them being taken over by a sinister global media corporation - called ‘Everything Now' it’s all very conceptual and very Arcade Fire. Their motto is Infinite Content - and judging by some of the information that the 'company' has been distributing, this seems to be a satire on this idea that all the information and entertainment you could ever need is available all the time - whether you want it or not. - something that's very relevant to the music world - with streaming neatly whole of recorded music is at your fingertips.
