Armed police in London. Chapel Market fears. Pay rises. Tribunal fees.
All police in England and Wales are to be asked if they want to be routinely armed; police in the Met have already said they don't want it.
Manze's - the famous pie and mash shop in Chapel Market - is to close after 106 years. Its closure is worrying Chapel Market traders, who are now fearing for the future of the entire Islington market.
Dawn Butler, the Labour MP for Brent Central, on her letter signed by more than 70 Labour MPs. It asks the Government to quickly pay back the money paid out by employees in tribunal fees which were outlawed by the Supreme Court. In addition, the MPs want help for those who were never able to bring their cases to court in the first place.
