Reading FC: Jaap Stam on a "very difficult" season opener
The Reading boss Jaap Stam has plenty to ponder after an opening day defeat at Loftus Road as they went down 2-0 to QPR.
Jaap Stam, Reading Manager:
"Very difficult you can say that again, we knew QPR's intentions of not letting us play out, and they did that very well. They deserved the win.
"We weren't sharp enough, not aggressive enough.
"Even without playing well we created a few good chances to score.
"As a team we didn't do well enough, and if players aren't up to standard it's hard for other ones to do well.
