The impact of triple talaq in the UK

India's top court has temporarily banned triple talaq, the practice of instant divorce in Islam. It is already outlawed in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The decision comes as a historic win for women's right campaigners. Although the practice has existed for decades, it has no mention in Sharia Islamic law or in the Quran.
