"It's all down to awareness" - Ciara who is on the autism spectrum reacts to a complaint made against an autistic boy
Jeremy Vine speaks to sixteen year old Ciara who is on the autism spectrum and her mother Kerry, gauging their reaction to the news that a mother received a complaint about the noises made by her young autistic son.
The anonymous letter argues that the mother is selfish to allow the three year old to play in the family garden as he expresses himself through non-verbal noises, which can be heard from surrounding gardens. It also goes onto threaten to make a complaint to the local council and social services if the noises continue and refers to the three year old as "it".
