Money plus Sterling ‘could get Sanchez’
Arsenal could be tempted to sell forward Alexis Sanchez if the deal is good enough, according to the Daily Mirror’s chief football writer John Cross.
The Gunners have rejected a £50m bid from Manchester City for Sanchez, but would like fellow forward Raheem Sterling as part of any deal before Thursday's transfer deadline.
With Sanchez out of contract next summer, Cross believes there are two options, explaining: “I think a bid in the region of £70m would do that for straight cash. Or more preferably, a deal involving a quality player like Sterling.â€
