The resurgence of white supremacism in America has seen the left organise itself as a resistance, both literally in the terms of confronting racist rallies and as a political force. Isabel Fraser spoke to historian Dr Mark Bray, who has written Antifa: the Anti-fascist Handbook, tracing the history of the movement from its European roots at the start of the 20th century, as well as giving guidance to the contemporary groups.
