Is Itoje the most famous rugby player in the world?
´óÏó´«Ã½ rugby union reporter Chris Jones considers whether England and Saracens forward Maro Itoje is the most famous rugby player in the world.
Itoje started Saracens' opening game of their 2017-18 Premiership campaign, a convincing nine-try thrashing of Northampton Saints at Twickenham.
Jones said: "He was a cult figure with the Lions fans, and you just think there is perhaps that kind of space in that stratosphere where someone can really transcend the sport of rugby union.
"Which hasn't happened, certainly from an English player, since the days of Jonny Wilkinson."
Itoje was the youngest player on the British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand and started the final two Tests against the All Blacks.
