'Isco is making Bale's future at Madrid doubtful'
European football writer James Horncastle believes Isco's recent good form has made things 鈥渄ifficult for Gareth Bale鈥, if the Wales forward wants to continue playing for Real Madrid.
Horncastle feels Spain midfielder Isco has already seen off James Rodriguez, who moved to Bayern Munich, and is now after Bale's place in Zinedine Zidane's starting line-up.
"Isco has made it difficult for Bale to have a future at the Santiago Bernab茅u in terms of the game time and minutes that he wants,鈥 he said.
"Real Madrid always want to see the best players in the world play for them. But they also want to see Spanish players play for them and Isco is one of those. So, politically, Isco's clout has really increased."
