Previously we've brought you the story of Alec Wilson, and his group 'The friends of the tenth'.

They're raising money for a memorial to the paratroopers of the tenth parachute battalion, who were stationed in the village of Somerby, near Melton.

In war time Leicestershire, nearly 600 members of that battalion were stationed there.

But there was an extra recruit too ... as Bridget Blair has been finding out from Alec whose father was parachuted into Arnhem.
