大象传媒 News has witnessed around 1,000 migrants -- mostly African -- being held in detention in Libya in inhumane conditions. The medical charity Doctors without Borders said today that migrants and refugees who want to cross the Mediterranean to Italy are being detained in nightmarish conditions. But the EU is still encouraging Libya to prevent migrants leaving its shores, and wants the Libyan coastguard to intercept those who do.
