Headley Court to be sold
The rehabilitation centre for injured soldiers at Headley Court in Surrey is to be sold.
The Ministry of Defence is relocating care facilities to a new location near Loughborough.
The sale of the estate follows the announcement in July 2014 that a new £300m Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre will be based at Stanford Hall.
Headley Court will be sold by property consultancy, Knight Frank, on behalf of the trustees of the charity and it is due to be vacated by the MOD in 2018.
The centre has been treating the war-wounded and sick service personnel since World War II, and expanded to treat casualties from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
